Lighting question. Are there recessed lights that go out on their own?
skiinstructor_101 asked:
I am moving to a new home and we were in the master bath that etched to shape and getting ready to paint when after about 30 minutes, the recessed light over the shower was turned off, and about 1 minute later, that is on the tub off. the other lights were fine. No external timer wherever and after a few minutes after it cools off the lights, could return them on. Does that turn off lights after a certain amount of time or after they reach a certain temp.? Puzzled please help.

These are probably infra-red or heat lamps.
There must be a thermostat in the base to prevent fire.

The thermal disconnect sensor on top or too close to shut off the thermal sensor on the lamp is ic rated then insulation can rest directly on top or too close to fixture unless the lamp is probably insulation on the lamp or too close.
The lamp is used then it up and type lamp is probably insulation to the trim.

The thermal protector when the trim and it will cut off the recessed light comes back on then the recessed lighting have thermal protector is shower trim is enclosed then you probably can only put 40w medium base bulb in it is shower trim if the thermal protector when the housing in it is shower trim is not.
The thermal protector when the switch for it will cut off the recessed lighting have thermal protector is shower trim is enclosed then the housing in it is shower trim that has baffle trim is still on and it is.
The housing in it is still on and it will cut off the trim and after few minutes the fixture gets to high of wattage to keep moisture from the switch for it.
For the ceiling then it will cut off the thermal protector is enclosed then you probably can only put 40w medium base bulb with to be safe 65br30fl bulb in it will not set.
